Victory Auto Service & Glass receives a 2016 International Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau

Victory_Service_glass-BBB_award-3For more than 100 years, the Better Business Bureau has been serving shoppers in the United States, and now in Canada and Mexico as well, by advancing marketplace trust and setting high standards for businesses to follow. The International Torch Award for Ethics  award is given to businesses who demonstrate best practices in character leadership and organizational ethics.

A Certified Female-Friendly retailer, Victory Auto Service & Glass has a strong history of ethics in business. In 2010, Victory Auto received the Integrity Award from the Minnesota and North Dakota Better Business Bureau, and in 2015 received both the Deubener Award (St. Paul Chamber of Commerce) and the 2015 Minnesota Business Ethics Award.

Victory logoVictory Auto Service & Glass is a family owned and operated automotive repair and glass business with five locations in the suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota and one location in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1997, the company was founded with a commitment to providing exceptional service to those in need of automotive repair and maintenance, as well as being passionately dedicated to the communities they serve. From their clean and friendly work environment, to providing fair and accurate estimates, to carefully explaining every diagnosis and repair needed, Victory Auto strives to live their motto: honest, dependable service. From day one, both the company’s owner and general manager lets new employees know that working at Victory Auto will be different than their experiences at other shops. Their standards and procedures are communicated from an employee’s first day and then continually reinforced after that.

Victory_Service_glass-BBB_award-2Victory Auto also helps those in need in their community, and supports several neighboring charitable organizations. It is not uncommon for Victory to donate vehicles to single mothers, as well as the use of its shop tools and facility to individuals who also volunteer labor hours. Victory has proven time and again that integrity is, in fact, good business.

Victory Auto employees have also been recognized as individuals for their contributions to their communities and industry. In 2011, our owner Jeff Matt was chosen as an Eleven Who Care honoree by local NBC affiliate, Kare 11, for his support of local nonprofit, Cars for Neighbors.

The International Torch Award for Ethics winners and finalists will be honored at a special luncheon ceremony on September 20, 2016, at The Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN, as part of the International Assembly of Better Business Bureaus.

“These outstanding companies consistently exceed marketplace standards for ethics in their relationships with their customers, employees, suppliers, industry peers and the communities in which they do business. By awarding them the 2016 International Torch Award for Ethics, we are demonstrating to the business community that adhering to Better Business Bureau ethical standards is the hallmark of successful, competitive companies,” said Genie Barton, president of the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust.

BBB logoBBB International Torch Award for Ethics is presented to businesses in recognition of best practices in leadership character and organizational ethics. Candidates must be winners of their local Torch Awards for Ethics, a category currently offered by 14 BBB Centers for Character Ethics across North America.

“Having another area business honored with this highly prestigious award is nothing short of remarkable,” said Dana Badgerow, president and CEO of BBB of Minnesota and North Dakota. “Having two additional local businesses named as finalists for the awards speaks to the commitment to ethics all of these companies have made, as well as to the quality and diversity of businesses in our marketplace.”
