Valvoline Raises Awareness of Breast Cancer with Pink-Out Day On October 1!
Once again, Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) will be promoting its annual PINK Wiper fundraising campaign during the month of October. Support Valvoline's effort by getting your AutoTex PINK wiper blades this October at any participating Valvoline Instant Oil Change location.
AutoTex PINK donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale to National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®; to get the promotion off to a great start, Valvoline Instant Oil Change will kick off the campaign with a Pink-Out day on Saturday, October 1st and will double donations for all purchases made that day.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and VIOC’s annual Pink-Out Day campaign is a national event with more than 215 participating locations; employees really get into the event, with many of them sporting pink clothing and even wigs! To help customers get into the spirit, this year, Valvoline Instant Oil Change is also hosting a fun Facebook photo contest. To enter for a chance to win up to a year of oil changes, simply upload a photo of your car with the Pink Wiper Blades along with a reason or story why you joined the fight against breast cancer to the Wishpond app on the Speedy the Dog Facebook page before October 31st at 9pm ET. Then, get your friends to share and like your photo: The Entrants whose photos receive the highest, second highest, and third highest number of “likes” will receive awards of conventional oil changes and Amazon gift cards.
Did you know? Every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer AND 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Valvoline Instant Oil Change is partnering with AutoTex PINK to raise funds to increase awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. ®
Henley Enterprises Inc., the largest Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee, is raising funds and increasing awareness for National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. ® (NBCF).
VIOC reported the PINK wipers campaign, now in its fifth year, has raised more than $55,000 for the NBCF. Visit www.viocPINK.com to learn more!
“This campaign gives back to the communities in which we serve. The pink wipers are a highly visible product that many Americans can rally behind,” said Don Smith, VIOC franchise founder and CEO. “The blades allow individuals who have been affected or know someone affected by breast cancer to show their support.”
The blades — which come in both traditional black with a small pink ribbon and full pink — fit 98 percent of cars, trucks, and SUVs manufactured after 2003, Valvoline Instant Oil Change says.
