Valvoline Launches Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink-Out Day
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and VIOC’s Pink-Out Day campaign is a national event with participating locations giving away special pink swag.
Did you know? Every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer AND 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Valvoline Instant Oil Change is partnering with AutoTex PINK to raise funds and increase awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Henley Enterprises Inc., the largest Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee, is raising funds and increasing awareness for National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. (NBCF). Valvoline said throughout the month of October it will be selling AutoTex PINK windshield wiper blades, with a portion of revenues being donated to NBCF.
VIOC reported the PINK wipers campaign, now in its fourth year, has raised more than $45,000 for the NBCF.
“This campaign gives back to the communities in which we serve. The pink wipers are a highly visible product that many Americans can rally behind,” said Don Smith, VIOC franchise founder and CEO.
“The blades allow individuals who have been affected or know someone affected by breast cancer to show their support.”
The blades — which come in both traditional black with a small pink ribbon and full pink — fit 98 percent of cars, trucks, and SUVs manufactured after 2003, Valvoline said.
