Great Lakes Credit Union Hosts 3rd Annual "Cars, Chicks and Cupcakes©"
Ladies, get ready to attend this upscale, fun-filled event to learn about all aspects of the retail automotive market, along with gourmet cupcakes, a little bit of fashion, raffles, swag bags... AND MORE!
The third annual event, being hosted by Great Lakes Credit Union, will be held at the Gurnee Mills Telemundo Entertainment Stage, in Gurnee, Illinois, on Saturday October 25th, 2014, from 2pm to 4pm. GLCU will host a panel of female automotive experts, who will speak about:
• Navigating the Dealership
• How to Get the Best Financing Deal
• What to Know About Tire Care, Car Maintenance and Collision Repair, and
• Keeping Your Car Insurance Rates Down for Yourself and your Teen Driver
Brief fashion breaks will be presented by Macy’s, Saks Off Fifth, Banana Republic, New York & Company and Neiman Marcus Last Call. Models will be from the Illinois International Pageant system. Gourmet cupcakes will be provided by Kiera Confections Cupcake Bakery and Megan’s Cupcake Bowtique. The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. will receive a financial contribution from event proceeds along with additional fundraising support on site. Don’t wait, seats are limited!

Lisa Anderson, AVP Consumer Loans, Great Lakes Credit Union
Lisa has more than 20 years of Lending and Credit Union experience at Great Lakes Credit Union. As AVP of Consumer Loans, she manages the credit union’s relationships with the area auto dealerships. Lisa helps to educate and assist credit union members in meeting their financial obligations by providing a variety of lending options and money management solutions. She has facilitated training sessions on Credit Score Basics and Improving Your Credit Score to both credit union staff and members. Lisa has also completed the Credit Union National Association Management School.

Jeanne opened her business in 1996 and is a respected collision expert in the local community. Jeanne’s role as a participating member and chair of several committees of the Collision Industry Conference over the last 14 years has allowed her to engage in open dialogue for the benefit of the industry. She is currently vice-chair of the CAPA Technical Committee, and is a past-char of the Collision Industry Foundation. Jeanne works closely with local high schools through career advisory councils, and is a guest lecturer at high schools, colleges, and Chambers of Commerce in her community She speaks about small business ownership, diversity in the workplace, and careers in the collision repair industry.

Charla Bloodsaw, Branch Manager, Liberty Mutual Insurance
As an insurance professional that helps people live safer, more secure lives, Charla has been in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years. She has held a variety of leadership roles in the industry in Sales, Service, Training, Underwriting and Operations Management. Charla holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Walden University and is completing her doctorate of Business Administration in Technological Entrepreneurship. Charla is a native Chicagoan returning to the area by way of Ohio. She is a proud Christian, family woman, wife, and mother.
