Valvoline Instant Oil Change Hosts PINK OUT Day
When we talked to VIOC about their special day, they told us “Pink Out Day is a visual event for a very visual product.” The product, of course, is AutoTex PINK Wiper Blades, and they're taking automotive retailers nationwide by storm this October. The goal of these wipers is to “Wipe Out Breast Cancer,” and they're following through on that promise by donating 20% of every blade sold to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
In addition to selling the AutoTex PINK blades – available in pink or black, metal, frameless, or uni-blade variants – all month long, VIOC stores, the nation’s second-largest quick-lube chain, will be decked out in pink today for VIOC's first annual “Pink Out” day for breast cancer!
“This is the second year our largest franchisee Henley Enterprises, Inc. has sold PINK wipers and helped raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Rob Stravitz, vice president of marketing for Valvoline Instant Oil Change. “We are excited to expand the Go Pink for Breast Cancer campaign into our Valvoline Instant Oil Change stores in the St. Louis market and help raise money for and support of breast cancer awareness.”
AutoTex PINK wiper blades are premium, OEM-quality blades that fit more than 99% of current vehicles on the road. These quality windshield wiper blades come in a traditional black metal frame with a small pink ribbon to denote the cause (available at all locations except in the St. Louis market) and in full pink color for those who wish to make a bolder statement (available at all locations). A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated by AutoTex PINK to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
At the conclusion of the October campaign, both Henley and Valvoline Instant Oil Change will make an additional 5% donation from sales of AutoTex PINK wiper blades to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
