Cool Car Video Trifecta: KIA rocks, Bridgestone rolls, and the Nissan Leaf brings the love
Happy Monday, Ask Patty Nation! Last week I brought you this FIAT ad featuring Jennifer Lopez and shared my thoughts on it, which were... less than favorable, let's say. This week let's focus on the positive, shall we? I had a great KIA ad in my inbox that was just begging to be posted, and then over the weekend I saw a positively brilliant Bridgestone ad, and at that point I knew that I had to make it a trifecta. Take a few minutes to shake off the "Mondays" and laugh a bit with these very clever ads.
Hit the jump and let's rock.
1. KIA Soul's Party Rock - opening with a mass sci-fi battle that looks like it was ripped right out of Halo, a KIA Soul arrives and some familiar furry faces show up to rock the party. KIA's hamster ads have been just delightful, and this one delivers as well.
2. Bridgestone Steers It Up - This ad completely made my day over the weekend. Now, you know me and classic cars. In this ad, a positively beee-autiful 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood tears across the Bonneville Salt Flats while the muffled beats of Mambo No. 5 (the original version, I think?) thump away inside. And then the car stops, and we meet the car's owners... seriously, just watch. For an extra good time, there's a behind the scenes video where you can see just how they souped up that Fleetwood for the shoot.
3. The LEAF Brings the Love - Rounding out our trifecta, this ad is actually a year old apparently, but it was new to me. This ad featuring a very out-of-place polar bear definitely sends a more serious message, but it most assuredly got a grin out of me. It seems like it may be a downer, but stick with it until the end, it's worth it.
Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments. Have a great week, Ask Patty nation!
