Daylight Saving Time Convenience with MyFord Touch

Fall Back:  On Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2 a.m., Daylight Saving Time ends so don’t forget to set your clocks one hour back before you go to bed.

Do you get confused every time Daylight Savings comes around and you have to change your car's clock? With advanced infotainment systems like MyFord Touch, changing your car's clock is a thing of the past. Yep, MyFord Touch does this seasonal task instantly so you will always be on time no matter the day.

Another bonus is that with GPS synchronization the clock will also automatically adjust to changing time zones, such as when driving from California to Colorado for the holidays.

Att27fe7 MyFord Touch™ driver connect technology, powered by SYNC, replaces many of the traditional vehicle buttons, knobs and gauges with clear, colorful LCD screens and 5-way buttons. The screens can be personalized to display information relevant to each individual driver using a simple button click, voice command or touch screen tap.  MyFord driver connect technology launches this year on the 2011 Ford Edge and goes global with availability on 2012 Ford Focus.  MyLincoln Touch will be standard equipment on new Lincolns beginning with 2011 Lincoln MKX.  Setting the clock is easy.  The options are presented to you visually.

1. Press MENU > Clock.

2. Press + and — to adjust the time.

From this screen, you can also access other adjustments such as 12 or 24 hour mode, to activate GPS time synchronization, and to have the system automatically update new time zones.
