AskPatty's Jody DeVere will co-star with her son Joe DeVere in their Second Life roles as Patty Streeter and Stoked Skytower on Second Life's highest-rated television show, "Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe." Scheduled to appear on Monday, August 4th at 6pm SLT, the duo will discuss AskPatty.com Automotive Advice for Women, Wonderland Cardin an AskPatty.com female friendly certified car dealership in SL, and of course Motorability Island home of UnitedSpinal.org in Second Life.   

Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe is a weekly half-hour chat show recorded live in Second Life every Sunday at Northpoint Studios   from 6 to 6:30 SLT in front of a live studio audience. The PG-rated show is streamed live to screens in Second Life, airs live on the slcn.tv  Web site, and is then uploaded to the www.slcn.tv  archive for later viewing. All previous episodes are also available on Paisley's website  and You Tube.

While thousands of women Bloggers assembled in San Francisco for the BlogHer '08 Convention this weekend, Second Life BlogHers had plenty of chances to hang out inworld at the BlogHer conference in Second Life! Hundreds of attendees enjoyed socializing at Callie Cline's Beach Resort (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Ride/134/167/26) (which sponsored several social events with dancing and music), and the BlogHer Vendor Area (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Ride/216/186/30) (which offered products and services in between seminars and panel discussions), but the Motorability Fairgrounds Speedway was a huge hit (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Ride/234/251/36) thanks to the  sponsored racing events held on Saturday.

Facilitated by Suku Ming and Toby Rainbow, BlogHers had plenty of fun learning how to drive their BlogHer08 virtual race cars around the Fairgrounds Speedway and Dirtfield Raceway racetracks found on United Spinal's Motorability Island. Some of the participants got the hang of going around and around the track, though others found it easier to crash their digital rides. Fortunately, in Second Life, everybody walks away from the crash, and race cars can be easily replaced.

When the racing was over, so many enthusiastic women shared their exhilaration at being able to race these BlogHer08 virtual cars on the exceptional SLASCAR tracks! We can't wait to do it again next year!

BlogHer's annual conference is like no other -- it is the thrilling diversity of the blogosphere come to life! Thousands of women Bloggers have assembled in San Francisco to experience technical labs, educational workshops, intense discussion sessions, relevant sponsors, speakers from every corner of the blogosphere, and plenty of opportunities to network and socialize.

Pontiac's Motorati Island is getting a second life by making a very generous donation of the very successful seven-region car culture island in Second Life to United Spinal Association. The newly named Motorabilty Island aims to continue catering to the car culture community in Second Life with a twist, by providing an opportunity to empower the 10,000 United Spinal Association members to join Second Life and experience car culture events and activities in this very popular virtual world.

New and experienced Second Life residents will enjoy car culture related virtual events, activities, community building, educational seminars and pure racing fun on the many original venues and race tracks re-opening in early February. Event proceeds, sales of goods, and services from commercial enterprise and sponsorships will contribute to raise awareness and provide funding to support United Spinal Association programs in the virtual and real world.
