50 Shades of Navigation

50-shades-of-nav-lead-IMG_8813With the launch of of the highly anticipated film “50 Shades of Grey" approaching on Valentine’s Day, we thought we would share this entertaining guest post from Eva Moon. A GPS is a seductive thing, Eva says: “At first you can't imagine why you'd need it. Then you give it a try, just for kicks. Before you know it, you can't find your way to the kitchen without a green line.”

You can read the original article at Huffington Post.

Mazda Joins #HungerGames Hype

Mazda_hunger_games-PromoMazda is joining the hype surrounding the recent launch of this season’s most highly anticipated film, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” with two movie-related promotions. One is an unusual advertisement that appears to be “hacked” by District 13 supporters, and the second is a charitable opportunity for consumers to feed the hungry by designing a hovercraft for #District13.

Coachella McDonald's Corvette Stingray Oasis Pool Party

Corvette_Coachella_Mcdonalds_PartyCelebrities stopped by the McDonald’s and Corvette Stingray Desert Pool Party at the Bootsy Bellows Estate on April 12, 2014 to celebrate the launch of McDonald’s Bacon Clubhouse Burger and the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Celebrities sampled the new Bacon Clubhouse Burger, rode shotgun for the Stingray Experience, and beat the heat pool-side in VIP cabanas.

Many famous faces who attended the party included one of my favorite Glee stars Dianna Agron who was spotted out with her new man Thomas Cocquere and Leonardo DiCaprio who smoked electronic cigarettes and chowed down on a Bacon Clubhouse Burger and fries in his private cabana.

AskPatty Takes a Look at “50 Shades of Gray” -- in Automotive Paint Shades!

2014 Audi Allroad in Monsoon Gray

In the “Fifty Shades of Grey,” book trilogy written by E L James, the number fifty describes Christian Grey, a man of many moods, talents, personalities, and vehicles (including jets and yachts).

With all the buzz in the media about the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie adaptation, I thought it would be fun to list 25 shades of grays for 25 of my favorite cars. To be sure, most cars do look super sexy in certain shades of silver.

“RUSH” and “Snake and Mongoose” -- Finally: Realistic Racing Movies

Erin-Evernham-headshotBy Erin Evernham

“RUSH” and “Snake and Mongoose” are two upcoming racing related movies that are definitely worth seeing. It seems Hollywood has finally shown our sport in a realistic light.

“Days of Thunder” may be one of my all-time favorite movies but, goodness, its racing scenes lacked a lot of credibility. “Talladega Nights,” which did make me laugh a few times, did absolutely no justice to our sport and “Driven”... well, that movie was just way too farfetched for my taste.

So these two movies, which I have had the privilege of seeing already at advanced screenings, make my racing heart smile. They may not be 100% accurate but the racing scenes were very believable to me. Both movies told great stories about athletes facing rivalry, fear, fame, competition, and personal battles.
