I recently had the opportunity to join a group of automotive enthusiasts and writers at the annual 3M Auto Boot Camp in St. Paul Minnesota where we got a good look at their latest DIY products. Once again, I was impressed not only by the products, but by the 3M organization as a whole.
3M has a great group of people constantly working on new products and excited to be working there. I still think it’s so cool that each employee gets to spend 15% of their work time working on something they love. This is what makes the 3M environment one of collaboration and innovation and let me tell you, the energy there is addictive.
While most people think of tape when I say 3M, as someone who’s been in the automotive industry for 24 years, I think of quality automotive products. For 2 days we got to play and learn about the DIY products that they have created for the average person who just wants to be able to maintain their vehicle themselves in between the major services that need to be done at the shop.
They also have plenty of products to help keep your ride looking good as well. So let me share what I learned so you can get out there and start doing some things on your own vehicle!
