Another Super Bowl Teaser: Bridgestone
Recently we shared VW's Super Bowl ad teaser featuring a very cute Star Wars dog chorus. The teasers continue to come, and I'll be covering most if not all of them here on the blog this week as we count down to Super Bowl weekend. Today's tease comes from Bridgestone, who you may remember was the subject of another post with their super clever commercial which placed a lovely old couple behind the wheel of a Fleetwood in the salt flats. It seems their penchant for creating memorable campaigns is continuing, because this new commercial seems to indicate they'll be pitting their own engineers against professional sports players using balls and pucks designed by Bridgestone for maximum efficiency. I'm not sure how this will turn out, but it promises to be hilarious. Check out the teaser here:
According to Bridgestone:
Building on the brand's socially active fan base, Bridgestone Americas Facebook page serves as the digital epicenter of the new campaign (www.facebook.com/BridgestoneTires). Visitors there will find 3D animated Performance ball (and puck) and tire models that offer an interactive technology demonstration. Additional celebrity videos will be released leading up to the Feb. 5 game, as well as extra online entertainment planned for debut on Super Bowl Sunday. Enhancing the Bridgestone brand's digital presence leading up to the game were the celebrities featured in the ads, who were active on Twitter throughout the commercial shoot and beyond. The company also has a dedicated YouTube channel where all of the behind-the-scenes videos can be viewed (www.YouTube.com/BridgestoneSuperBowl).
