Ford Teams up with Martha Stewart to give away "Warriors in Pink" Taurus
Ford Warriors in Pink, now in its 15th year of support for breast cancer health, recently joined forces with Martha Stewart to focus on breast cancer treatments and awareness with a special Warriors in Pink episode of her television show.
For many years, Ford has created special "Warriors in Pink" vehicle editions, and this year Ford has teamed up with Martha Stewart to create two special "Warriors in Pink" Tauruses, each outfitted with Martha Stewart-inspired items such as a custom glovebox organizer, specially programmed navigation system, special road and safety kits for the trunk, and bespoke backseat blanket, neck pillow, and lumbar travel pillow. A special edition of "The Martha Stewart Show" aired on October 16, and during the one-hour show, Stewart hosted a special studio audience of Warriors whose lives have been touched by breast cancer, and she gave away one of these special cars. But that leaves one more car to give away! If you'd like a chance to WIN a special "Warriors in Pink" Taurus valued at up to $41,995, be sure to enter online at www.marthastewart.com/warriorsinpink before December 15, 2009. The winner should be notified some time around Thursday, December 17, 2009.
You can also support Susan G. Komen for a Cure(R) simply by taking a test drive of the new Taurus (or any other Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury vehicle) between now and December 31, 2009 - with each test drive, Ford will donate $20 on your behalf to Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) - up to a total of $1 million. Just register at fordcares.com to receive a special certificate that you redeem at the time of the test drive.
On top of all this, every year, Ford creates limited-edition "Warriors in Pink" apparel and accessories featuring important symbols signifying the message of hope, strength and unity in its commitment to the fight against breast cancer. Sold on FordCares.com, Ford donates 100 percent of net proceeds to Susan G. Komen for the Cure 365 days a year, and has so far dedicated more than $100 million to the breast cancer cause.
As a special addition to this year's campaign, Ford Warriors in Pink is unveiling an all-new stamp kit inspired by the team of crafting experts at Martha Stewart Living. This kit provides crafters with a creative way to show their support for the fight against breast cancer with stamps that feature Ford's "Symbols of a Warrior," evoking themes of peace, healing, and strength in the battle against breast cancer.
"One of the unique elements of the Warriors in Pink initiative is its ability to unite people who have been touched by breast cancer," said Connie Fontaine, Brand Content and Alliances manager for Ford Motor Company. "Warriors in Pink apparel and accessories demonstrate support for the cause while making a contribution...It allows people to feel as though they are a part of a larger force - an army of Warriors fighting the disease together."
Thanks very much to Ford and Martha Stewart for creating such a powerful initiative for breast cancer awareness!
