"Ladies Start Your Engines" Repair Classes for Women
"Ladies, Start Your Engines" is an automotive repair class just for women that you can offer at your own facility. Taught by instructor Lori Johnson, the main goal of this hands-on class is to empower the participants by giving each woman the confidence to perform her own light automotive maintenance.
Early on the class was offered for both men and women, but Lori realized that women seemed hesitant to ask questions in front of the men, so the class became “women only.”
Lori found that women were lacking in basic knowledge of their automobiles and did not feel confident in talking to service personnel when they took their vehicles in for service.
Through "Ladies, Start Your Engines," Lori passes along the knowledge she has gained from her 20 years of automotive experience, creating an informed consumer and giving each woman the know-how to properly maintain her own vehicle.
Among the benefits of offering the class at your office, dealership, or school, you will:
- Show your commitment to better understanding and serving the needs of your female customers.
- Make women feel more comfortable talking with your service personnel and asking questions about their vehicles.
- Recognize that women are increasingly becoming more active in the buying and servicing of their vehicles and that you want to make their experience with your business positive and rewarding for everyone.
- Give your female customers a reliable place to do business and make them feel welcome.
- Create a knowledgeable customer and consumer in the automotive marketplace.
