A Veterans Day Message from UnitedSpinal.org

Vets1st_united-spinal

Veterans Day is not only a time to reflect upon the sacrifices of the millions of American servicemen and women who have fought to preserve our freedom, but to remember the moral responsibility of our nation to assist our veterans and their families here at home.

Those who have courageously served in our Armed Forces, past and present, devoting their lives to defend the nation, should never be forgotten. Although their wounds may heal with time, the physical and emotional scars left behind can last a lifetime.

Each of these individuals faces numerous challenges to living with dignity in the country they have fought to protect, including physical and psychological disabilities, discrimination, housing and employment issues, and a lack of benefits and services.

November 11 is but one day to remind ourselves of what the nation owes its veterans, both morally and by law. VetsFirst salutes our veterans on this day and re-affirms its commitment to serve those who have so willingly served our country.
