Ask Patty Los Angeles Auto Show Blog Carnival: November 20, 2007

Nissangtr We want to interrupt our regularly scheduled Carnival to bring you an exclusive Los Angeles Auto Show  carnival. We scoped and scanned the Los Angeles Convention Center to bring you the best of what was out there, from little commuter cars to large SUVs. More than a dozen concept and production vehicles made their global debuts while another 30 vehicles made their first appearances in North America. Sit back and relax for the ride!

Nyt_lamborghinirevention The New York Times was California dreamin' with a very deep special section about the show, saying "The Los Angeles Auto Show may be short on new models this year, but it is long on talk about alternative fuels, hybrid drivetrains, and sustainable mobility." Meanwhile, Tori Tellem delivers an unforgettable list of the auto show's pithiest phrases in her feature on the auto show's "potent quotables."

Ab_honda_fcx_clarity_32_showAutoblog's coverage goes far beyond the ordinary, to include more than just cars and photos of cars: They've got a gallery of celebrity attendees ranging from Governator Schwarzenegger to Jason Statham  and AutoBlogGreen shares its first drive of the Honda FCX Clarity, the world's first production fuel-cell-powered car.

Those Jalopnik dudes remain obsessed by the cult of cars with their wild and wacky perspective on all aspects of the auto show. Regardless of whether it's a seemingly well-balanced review of the Czech Faurecia design study, or a report on the scuffle between Toyota and the Rainforest Action Network,  we can count on those guys from Jalopnik to help us see it from a different angle.

Mt_2009_jaguar_xf
Motor Trend delivers its usual auto show coverage with an assortment of kamikaze-style photography and rehashed press releases of more than 20 vehicles, and at least a half-dozen video segments.
