The country has been watching the devastating news about the I-35 bridge collapse in Minneapolis these past few days and the staff here at Ask Patty has kept the families and friends of the commuters caught on the bridge in our prayers.

Sherry Engebretsen took the bridge home on Wednesday after avoiding it all summer because of road construction. There was no way for her to know that they bridge wouldn’t hold that evening. Her husband and two daughters spoke with TODAY host Matt Lauer about their wife and mom, Sherry Engebretsen.
