Women’s Automotive Association International will be hosting a networking event for women in the automotive industry to coincide with the New York International auto Show Thursday, April 5, 2007.

The Women’s Automotive Association International (WAAI) will provide a breakfast to kick off Thursday at the NYIAS that will feature speakers and a speed networking session. This event is the perfect opportunity to meet other incredible women in the automotive industry.
The events speakers include Yvonne Divita, author of marketing to women books, and Devera Lynn, Director of Marketing and Communications for United Spinal Association.

Yvonne Divita, author and president and founder of WME Books.com, will speak on marketing to women and will focus on how to get women to buy from companies in a digital world. Yvonne is the president and founder of WME Books.com and is the former President of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network, VP of Web Communications at RAMA (the Rochester chapter of the American Marketing Association), and serves on the board of the local Women in Communications Chapter. Yvonne speaks on marketing to women online and has been a guest blogger for Fortune Magazine and she is interviewed and quoted throughout the Internet on women’s issues, publishing, and blogging.

Devera Lynn will also be speaking at the Women's Automotive Association New York International Auto Show Breakfast on Disability Etiquette and Safe Motoring Education as it relates to car buyers and dealerships. Devera Lynn is the Director of Marketing and Communications for United Spinal Association, a not-for-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with spinal cord injuries and disorders.  Since joining the organization only one year ago, Lynn has been developing an innovative blueprint to extend the scope of the Association's national marketing and communications outreach.

“This event is a great way for women in the automotive industry to get to know one another in a fun and productive way,” stated WAAI President Jody DeVere. “The focus of the Association is on the development and retention of women leaders and the education and support of everyone who has an interest in the automotive industry.”
