Chocolate, Cars and Careers
Career panel aims to entice women
To encourage women entering or re-entering the workforce to look at careers in the retail automotive industry, the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) has planned an automotive career networking event, Chocolate, Cars and Careers. The free program, which includes a panel discussion by nine women who have excelled in the industry, will take place at the Center for Automotive Education & Training, at 15-30 Petracca Place, Whitestone, Queens, on Thursday, October, 26 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
In
addition to an informative panel discussion, the informal program
includes chocolate and wine pairings and the opportunity to meet some
of the women who are now enjoying great success in the industry.
The
retail automobile industry offers a wide variety of unique and
challenging careers. In addition to competitive salaries, great
benefits and opportunity for advancement, today’s dealerships are
modern, clean, air-conditioned and safe.
“This is a great way
to learn about the many rewarding automotive careers now available to
women. Responsible, hard-working individuals will find great
opportunities and a myriad of careers available at area auto
dealerships,” said Sheila Meyer, GNYADA Chairman.
